We’ll be moving amongst fantastic rock formations in search
of a lunch spot and turnaround point.

This
is a great hike to check out your condition. This trail takes us to
the top of the land mass between Sabino and
Bear
Canyons
known as Saddleback Ridge. As
you walk down into
Lower
Sabino
, you’ll have a grand view of the entire ridge.
We’ll gain 1,700 ft along 2.9 miles.
There are few finer places to have your lunch than at the end
of Blackett’s Ridge Trail. Bring
your camera, at least 2 lts of water, snacks, and a nice lunch.
There’s a $5.00 parking fee at
Sabino
Canyon
or use a Golden Age Passport. A $3.00/per person carpool fee

It’ll be ideal if we have at least two cars to be able to
shuttle between trailheads. It’s
still chilly on top of Mt Lemmon, so dress accordantly.
Bring enough water, snacks and lunch for this long day.

also has most of the television transmitter towers for the
Tucson
stations. We’ll come
down to connect with the Kellogg trail , then the Incinerator Ridge
trail for a short distance to our turnaround point.
After the hike we can go up to Summerhaven for lunch or pie.
It still gets cool at the 8,000ft level trailhead.
