Why
we LOVE living at Heritage Highlands!
When
we moved here in January, 2006, I was not the one who wanted the 50+
community living. I was not even 50 then! Even though I work
fulltime and am not able to use the facilities and activities as
much as I wish, I love living here. Our fitness club is state
of the art. Our views are some of the best in the county. I
am using the Public Library less and less because of our own
becoming more extensive.
The best thing I love about
HH is that everyone wants to be here. In the morning you see
your neighbors walking, conversing with smiles on their faces.
Our community is very unlike normal neighborhoods with our
residents living here to knowing and enjoying their neighbors.
We kid that the neighborhood has gone to the dogs because most
people may not know the master's name but they sure do know the
dog's name.
I believe that our board is
doing a good job taking over from the builder. We cannot ask
for a better activities director than Aileen and the changes in
the Grille have made us supporters of it by eating there again.
Our hats off to the chef for his management, professionalism and
the presentation of our good meals! His changes have been noted
and we feel that the Grille has never been run better.
It puts a
smile on my face when after work I head home to a place of
enjoyment and beauty. Janet

I can't think of any place we would rather live in retirement,
than here at Heritage Highlands. The people are wonderful, the
facilities, golf course and activities are terrific. I can
enjoy life here, professionally as a pianist, and, with my
husband, we can enjoy the leisurely, relaxing aspects! KUDOS to

My name is Bahia Farahi, a
resident of 13687 N. Holly Grape Drive since November 2009. I
love our Heritage community and I will explain the reasons. As
my profession, I was the administrator of a college in San Diego
for 19 years and then the administrator of Bosch School in Santa
Cruz, CA for 9 years. I was looking for a retirement community
since 2009. I found exactly what I was looking for thanks to my
sister and brother-in-law who purchased their house in 2005 in
Heritage and were very happy. I visited them in April 2009, went
back to San Diego, sold my town house and purchased at Heritage
Highlands.
I was amazed there was no
marketing/advertising about this beautiful community. It has all
the features a retired professional person needs: nice,
affordable one story houses, clean areas, clubhouse, restaurant,
golf course, tennis court, very nice neighbors, free classes,
fresh weather, gated and safe area, close to Ritz Carlton and
Gallery Restaurants, Walgreens, gas station, grocery stores,
etc….As soon as I moved to my new house, I invited several
friends from California, Texas and Oregon to come and visit me.
Many of them fell in love with our community.
Thank you!

We bought a home in Heritage Highland in 2006. We were here on
sabbatical for 6 months and spent a lot of time looking for a
home. I visited all of the retirement communities in the Tucson
area. Eventually we picked HH because of the friendly people,
beautiful grounds and convenient access to Tucson and
surrounding areas. HH proves to be all that we hoped for --
friends from all over the US and Canada, lots of activities and
events (dances, shows, arts, crafts, etc), a new wonderful
library, a great fitness center, swimming pool and a beautiful
golf course. Even if you are not a golfer you can enjoy the
green grass and awesome views.

I moved to Heritage Highlands, a bit concerned that it would be
dull and stuffy, given that I’m at the mid or lower point of the
age demographics. Au contrare!!! This is an active, vibrant
community. I am so very glad to be here. Neighbors are
friendly and helpful, and the staff is incredibly professional.
After decades of corporate life, I began following my passion
full time several years ago, that of providing energy healing
services for people and animals and animal communication. I’ve
met a small number of the residents---and hope to meet more—at
events, social happenings, and at the workshops I’ve given in
the activities center. I was looking for a community, a
neighborhood—and found it here!

“The little community that could!"
We
were worried when we moved to HH a couple years ago that with
only 1200 homes and 4 courts, we would have to join one of the
private clubs to get our fill of competitive tennis. Well,
guess again.
HH is now the home of the
Senior 7.0 Mixed Doubles Champions of greater Tucson and just
this month also the Southwest Section of USTA. The team will
compete in Nationals in April. The Senior Mens 3.0 team won the
local greater Tucson league last winter, and we will have a
strong entry at 7.0 Mens SuperSeniors this fall. On the women's
side, two teams compete in the local InterClub League and a
SuperSenior team is being launched this fall.
We are having a great time
together, and love the socials and the get-togethers with other
clubs and the regular men's and women's drop-ins.
Best of all, we love going to
tennis, or whatever else in the community, and having our
neighbors all wave and smile whether we know each other yet or
not.

Before we purchased our home in
2004, we talked with golfers, tennis players and people around
the clubhouse. Imagine how excited we were to hear everyone
tell us how much they enjoyed the community and their
neighbors! We didn't hear one negative thought and were
actually welcomed by many to join in on their fun!
Our first thought was what a
wonderful opportunity this would be to buy into a community that
was so active and friendly.
When we made the decision to buy a home, we eagerly looked
forward to wintering at Heritage Highlands and still do to this
day. It's a wonderful community! It is our sincere wish
that everyone who owns a home in Heritage Highlands see what a
gift it is to be able to enjoy your life in such a beautiful
location, in a fantastic community with wonderful people
and gorgeous weather. What more could any person ask for?!

Initially, it was the house
that we fell in love with. Having been HH residents now for 6
years, we have found so much more to love. After the $3 million
dollar plus renovation, the clubhouse is a spotless showplace.
The fitness center is top of the line, with nearly every
imaginable piece of equipment. On a treadmill or elliptical
trainer, your view is over the beautiful swimming pool and spa,
and at night or early morning, the lights of the city below. The
golf course is beautifully maintained, with splendid views from
all holes. The convenience of hopping in your golf cart or car
and in minutes arriving at the clubhouse or the lounge and grill
for a meal or beverage -- without leaving "home" -- is a
wonderful amenity. The community is solid financially, with
reserves set aside for future improvements as needed.

We moved to Heritage Highlands for the golf and outdoor
activities. As year round residents, we have been very
impressed with the top notch pro shop, staff, and well
maintained golf course. We enjoy the men’s, ladies, and couples
golf leagues and events. The course is challenging, but very
fair.
We love the amenities -
fitness center, swimming pool, social events, and restaurant.
Plenty of hiking is available both inside and outside our gated
community. And the views - awesome! We’ve been impressed
with all Tucson has to offer - concerts, the arts (including off
Broadway shows), great restaurants, and all that the UA adds to
the dynamics of the city. The weather is unbeatable - the
summers are especially nice. In our opinion, Heritage Highlands
is the premier southern Arizona community. Pat and Gary

We don’t just like Heritage Highlands, we love living in
Heritage Highlands! We like the people who surround us-the
neighbors, the administrators and the staff.
We are snow birds and have
experienced the community for 8 years and feel secure and
confident our best interests are being met.

John and I have lived at
Heritage Highlands for nine years and are originally from Seal
Beach, California. We first visited Heritage at the behest of
our son, who relocated to Tucson, and played in a golf
tournament here, and knew, from the minute he saw it that this
was a "place you and Dad are going to love"!
We came to Tucson to visit,
and Heritage was the first adult community we looked at. We felt
such a sense of "home" from the get-go and spent the next five
years looking at every adult community in southern Arizona.
Heritage was the first place we looked and the others always
came in "second place".
It is the most beautiful
community, in the very best area, has wonder facilities, and
best of all.......we have made so many wonderful friends and
have the BEST neighbors EVER!
Ask any visitors here, and
they will tell you, as our visitors have.........."you two live
in a resort"; we hear that all the time! I truly feel like
"Goldilocks"....." Heritage Highlands is just right" !!!!
